Sabal domingensis

Most closely resembling the common Sabal palmetto, this palm is native to regions of Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. It can grow to nearly 40 feet in optimal conditions and its leaves are used for thatch and the weaving of common household items. This variety of Sabal grows at a considerably quick pace.

Requirements Requires full sun and has been noted to be fungal and disease resistant. This palm ahs significant cold tolerance and should be kept regularly moist but not soaked. Sandy soil is acceptable for this palm as well.
