Rhapis multifida

Common Name Lady Finger Palm
Type of Plant Palm
With a similar aesthetic to the Lady Palm (Rhapis excelsa), multifida is a taller and less voluminous palm in comparison. Finer, longer leaflets also differentiate this palm, which form nearly a complete circle rather than a star shape. Similarly deep green, it will reach heights only up to 6 feet in cultivation and is a popular ornamental.
Requirements Consistently moist, well drained soil that may be slightly more acidic than neutral is ideal. Rhapis multifida should be protected from wind to prevent tattering, and it prefers partial sun to retain its color.
