Sometimes known as Polyandrococcus caudescens, this palm is pinnate, slow growing and solitary. Its leaves are blue-green on the top with silvery undersides. A tillering palm, this plant produces a root that curves upward, above the soil and back down toward the roots to brace the trunk as it grows. It can reach heights of nearly 45 feet in habitat.
Requirements Prefers a well drained soil, this palm prefers partial shade. It is sensitive to the cold and thrives with regular watering despite its tolerance to drought.
