Valued for its colorful, evergreen leaves, Song of India or, Song of Jamaica is a beautiful ornamental native to many islands of the Indian Ocean. It is ideal for growing in tropical landscapes or indoors as a houseplant, due to its modest size that typically does not exceed 10 feet. It is slow growing and flowers with small, white buds annually. A study by NASA concluded that Dracaena reflexa also helps remove formaldehyde and other toxic gases from the air!

Requirements Indirect light is best to preserve the vibrant colors of D. reflexa's leaves. It prefers regularly moist soil that is well drained to avoid root rot but has a moderate drought tolerance.
