With an overall height to only 15 feet, and a spread of 10 to 12 feet, this modest palm has gained popularity due to its ability to withstand Category 1 hurricanes. In South Florida and many other coastal locations, this combination of ornamental beauty and durability is highly prized!

Requirements This palm grows well in alkaline to acidic soils with a slow growth rate. It will tolerate brief cold snaps to the mid 20's, and tolerates salt well.
