Among the fastest growing in its genus, Copernicia alba is distinguishable by its patterned trunk of old leaf bases, toothed petioles and waxy, palmate leaves with silvery-green undersides. It is solitary and the tallest growing in its genus, reaching excesses of 40-50 feet in an optimal South Florida habitat.

Requirements Very cold tolerant, adaptable in many soil compositions and prefers full sun. It is drought tolerant once mature and can survive brief periods of flooding.
