Common Name Sugar Palm
Type of Plant Palm
A. pinnata is easily one of the oldest palms in cultivation, so much so that its origins are unverifiable. It can be tapped like a maple tree for syrup, which can then be dried into sugar or fermented into alcohol. As its name suggests, its leaves have pinnate venation.
