Australian Cabbage Palm
Type of Plant:
Solitary, fan-leafed palm. Old leaf bases often stay attached to 12 inch thick trunk. Gray-green leaves have spiny petioles. Height to 45 feet with a 15 foot spread.
Grows well in alkaline to acidic soils. Growth rate medium but faster in wetter soils. Tolerates short cold snaps to high 20s. Has slight salt tolerance.
