Description:
Solitary, fan-leafed palm. Trunk to 2+ feet thick and covered in old leaf bases. 12-15 foot wide leaves a khaki green. Height to 60 feet with a 30 foot spread.
Requirements:
Prefers acidic to alkaline soils. Growth rate slow to medium. Slight salt tolerance. Can tolerate short cold snaps just below freezing.
