Description:
Solitary, spiny, feather-leafed palm. Trunk to 3 inches thick and leaves grayish green above while light silver underneath. Overall height to 20 ft. with a 15 ft. spr.

Requirements:
Grows well in alkaline to somewhat acidic wet soils. Growth rate medium. Tolerates brief cold dips to freezing. Some slight salt tolerance.

Central America
